How were people benefitted with the trade in forest products?
Consider the following points: Communities started trading in forest products and left their traditional occupations. This thing not only happened in India but also around the world. For example:- with the growing demand for rubber in the mid-19th century, the Mundurucu people of the Brazilian Amazon who lived in villages on high ground, began to collect latex from wild rubber trees for supply to traders. They became completely dependent on traders and decided to live in trading ports.
