Explantion Teenagers receive information from various source about relationship and sex which is confusing, conflicting and sometime misleading. Therefore, sex education is necessary in schools. It would provide: Right and correct information to teen age students who are making transition from childhood to adulthood, both mentally and physically. Strong scientific background would stop them from believing in myths and misconception about sex, relationships and related aspects. Appropriate information about reproductive organs, sexual hygiene and safe sexual practice would help students a good and healthy reproductive life. Awareness among adolescent students about STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) and its transmission would make them aware of their wellbeing. Knowledge about appropriate use of contraceptives and its effect on their reproductive health. Appropriate knowledge to equip young with right attitude and values to empower them to understand the well-being of individual as well as the society and develop respectful social and sexual relationships.
