Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) The molecular method to magnify a gene and attain its numerous copies is named PCR. The method of PCR has specific needs i.e. a thermostable enzyme known as Taq polymerase ( attained from Thermus aquaticus), primers ( short stretches of DNA ), dNTPs, a template strand, etc. The method of PCR occurs in three phases.  Denaturation- The double-stranded DNA helix is unlocked up by breaking their H-bonds at high temperatures. Annealing- The primers are permitted to hybridize to complementary areas of DNA. This phase occurs at 45−550 C temperature.Extension- The primers are prolonged using the Taq polymerase enzyme and the series is repeated numerous times to attain the specified number of copies
