The main attribute or characteristics of a population are- Birth rate (Natality): It is the ratio of live births in the area to the population of an area.Death rate (Mortality): It is the ratio of death in the area to the population of an area.Sex ratio: it is the number of males or females per thousand individual.Age Distribution: It is the percentage of individuals of different ages in a given population. The age pyramids are commonly used to show age distribution pattern.Population Density: number of individuals of the same species residing in a particular geographical area.Population dispersion or distribution patterns: It show the how the population is spaced out in particular habitat.
