Differentiate between striated, unstriated and cardiac muscles on the basis of their structure and site/location in the body.
Striated muscle is voluntary muscle and it consists of myoglobin so they are also called red muscles, whereas unstriated muscle doesn’t consist of myoglobin so they are called white muscles. The cardiac muscle also consists of myoglobin. Free and uncontrolled movement is under the regulation of skeletal muscles where as smooth muscle and cardiac muscles have involuntary control on their movements.
