How does the force of gravitation between two objects change when the distance between them is reduced to half ?

From the equation we can see that the gravitational force between 2 objects is inversely proportional to the square of distance between them F∝1/r2 Then if the distance between the masses are halved then, 1/{(r/2)}2 = 4/r2 =4F The force would become four times.
