Explanation Yes, transfer of energy takes place when we fail to move the rock. When we push a huge rock, there is no transfer of energy. According to Newton's third law of motion, rock will exert the same amount of force to our body. According to the law of energy conservation, energy neither be created nor be destroyed, it can only be converted from one form to another. In this case our muscular energy converted into the heat. Final answer Hence, transfer of energy takes place when we fail to move the rock, here in this case rock will exert same force on the our body and our chemical energy is converted in the heat and released into the atmosphere.
