There were also many members who were technically Congressmen but spiritually associated with Hindu Mahasabha and R.S.S. Viewed economically, a few members of the Constituent Assembly were socialists in their economic philosophy. Contrary to it, there were also members who supported landlords and Zamindars. The Congress also had many independent members. These members were drawn from different castes and religious groups. There were also many members who represented the women.
