On March 1, 2022, the Union Education Minister published the JEE Main Exam Dates 2022 for the April and May sessions on the official website nta.ac.in, along with the NTA JEE 2022 booklet.
The JEE Main 2022 Exam would be held twice in the months of April and May, according to the officials.
JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination Main) is a nationwide entrance test administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to select candidates for admission to BE/BTech, BPlan, and BArch programmes at IIITs, NITs, and other CFTIs across the country.
It is also the JEE Advanced eligibility exam for admission to different UG and dual engineering programmes provided by the country's IITs.

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2022
To be qualified for JEE Main, candidates must meet all of the qualifying requirements.

The main age limit for JEE
Aspirants taking the JEE Main have no upper age limit.
Main Educational Qualifications for JEE
- Candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent qualifying test in 2020 or 2021 to be considered.
- Those who are taking their Class 12 or any other qualifying test in 2022 are also eligible to take the January and April sessions.
- Candidates who passed their Class 12th/Qualifying examination before 2020, as well as those who will take it after 2022, are unable to participate in JEE (Main) 2022.
Subjects that qualify:
Candidates must have completed at least five subjects in class 12th/qualifying test to be considered.
Marks needed to qualify
There are no minimum qualifying marks for admission to NITs, IIITs, SPAs, and CFTIs in JEE Main 2022.
Total number of tries
A applicant is permitted to take the test three times in a row.
From 2022 forward, there will be a total of two tries every year.
2022 JEE Main Exam Pattern
For B.E/B.Tech, B.Architecture, and B.Planning, JEE Main 2022 will consist of three papers.
This year's JEE Main 2022 Exam Pattern has undergone significant modifications.
Given the decrease in the syllabus by CBSE and other state boards, choice has been incorporated for the first time for questions.
Despite the fact that the total number of questions in each of the three tests has grown, the overall marks for the papers have remained unchanged from prior years.

Cutoff for JEE Main 2022
Along with the JEE Main Result, the NTA will issue the JEE Main 2022 Cut Off for Paper 1 based on the candidate's category.
The JEE Main Cut Off is the minimal score required to get admission to NITs, IIITs, or GFTIs.
NTA announces the qualifying cutoff necessary to appear in JEE Advanced along with the result since NTA JEE Main is the screening test for JEE Advanced.
