There are two stages in SSC JE Selection Process:- Written Test (Objective and Descriptive)
- Document Verification
SSC JE Exam Pattern: Paper I
This is an objective Computer Based Test. There are a total of 200 questions that are asked in the exam. There are three sections in this paper- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and Technical Section. The details are as follows:

SSC JE Exam Pattern: Paper II
This paper includes descriptive type questions. It carries a total of 300 marks. There will be three parts i.e. Civil & Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering out of which candidates have to attempt the part based on their graduation stream. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.
