SSC GD Constable 2022 : PET & PST for Male/Female Candidates

Highlights

The SSC has now shortlisted applicants for PET/PST based on their performance in the SSC GD Constable 2021–22 Computer Based Examination (CBE). Physical Efficiency Tests (PETs) and Physical Standard Tests (PSTs) will be administered at various locations determined by CAPFs. SSC held an online exam for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in the Assam Rifles, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Recruitment Scheme for 2527. Ex-servicemen who have been shortlisted in the Computer Based Examination for PET/PST will only be required to attend the PET/PST for the purpose of recording height, chest, and weight measurements.

Weight

According to medical guidelines, male and female applicants should be proportionate to their height and age. After qualifying PET (race) and before PST, CAPFs PET/ PST Boards will review candidates' eligibility for relaxations, such as height and chest measurement. The above-mentioned height and chest (where applicable) relaxations will be allowed only with the submission of a certificate at the time of the PST/ PET for applicants who are not in the ST category.Candidates who are declared unqualified in Physical Standards, such as height and chest size, may file an appeal with the Appellate Authority designated for the Centre through the Presiding Officer on the same day if they like (PO). The Appellate Authority's decision will be final, and no further appeals or representations in this regard will be heard. PET does not allow for an appeal (Race).

Medical examination in depth (DME)

Male and female applicants who pass the PET/ PST will be shortlisted for the DME/ DV based on their performance in the Computer Based Examination by state/ region and category (including NCC bonus marks, if applicable). About three times the number of candidates will be shortlisted for the DME/DV based on their performance in the Computer Based Examination. A larger number of applicants may be shortlisted for SSF jobs. At the time of DME, the following papers will be checked:

Medical Boards established by the CAPFs will evaluate the selected individuals to determine their physical and medical fitness. Candidates shall be medically examined in accordance with the Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR published by MHA.

CAPFs final selection

Candidates who pass both the PET/ PST and the DV/ Medical Exam will be eligible for the final merit list. CAPFs/ Organizations will be assigned to eventually selected applicants depending on their "merit in the Computer Based Examination (including NCC bonus marks)". -cum-'preference of CAPFs/Organization' stated by candidates in their online applications
