The English version of Gitanjaliwas authored by 'W.B Yeats'.

Choker Bali

'Chokher Bali' depicts a tale of an educated and beautiful widow Binodini living in a society that keeps widows in isolation from the community and abandons them, forcing them to live alone with despair and loneliness. This book is referred to as the first modern Indian Novel.

As a well-educated woman, Binodini is alert to the negligence common towards windows in her society. As a Novelist, Tagore sophisticatedly fabricated a complex network of relations, which starts with Binodini’s envy towards Mahim and Asha’s blissful married life. The story ends with leaving her with a potentially happy ending, which is something that should be majorly talked about.
 

Gora

'Gora' is among the most excellently composed work of Rabindranath Tagore. Gora depicts the political, social, and religious society of Bengal during British Rule in the late 1880s. This book is Tagore’s fifth literary novel, which describes theological and political debates, and philosophical questions. Additionally, it talks about subjects such as gender, tradition, modernity brotherhood, urban and rural gap, colonialism, female rights, the malaise of caste, nationalism, and more.
