- The exam is held during school hours in the school only.
- The ICO is a single-level exam with 50 questions to be completed in 1 hour. All the questions are Multiple-Choice Questions.
- The exam paper is divided into 4 sections: Economics, Business Studies, Accountancy, and Achievers.
- The exam is held on 2 days, and the schools decide the exam dates as per their convenience. However, once the date is decided it can be changed.
- English is the medium language of the ICO exam.
- The ICO syllabus revolves around CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and state board syllabus. The curriculum is well-structured and is accepted widely accepted all over the world.

The registration fee for the ICO exam is Rs.
125, including GST.

Moreover, the schools can charge an extra 25 for the instructor's salary and other expenditures.
The physically challenged students and the scholars whose parents lost their lives in military operations are exempted from the registration fee.

Participants can get the admit cards from the official website of the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF).
The schools will receive the admit card with the help of a courier and e-mail.
The scholars should bring hall tickets for giving exams. They may not be able to appear in the ICO exam without the admit card. The exam is conducted only during school hours and in the schools only.
