CBSE 11 Mathematics Syllabus for Term 2 2022:
Sets and Functions (Unit I)
Trigonometric FunctionsThere are both positive and negative perspectives. Angle measurement in radians and degrees, as well as conversion from one to the other. The unit circle is used to define trigonometric functions. For any x, the identity sin2x + cos2x = 1 is true. Trigonometric function signs. Trigonometric functions' domain and range, as well as their graphs Sin (xy) and cos (xy) are expressed as sinx, siny, cosx, and cosy, with easy applications. Identities such as the following can be deduced:
Linear inequalities
Inequalities that are linear. The number line representation of algebraic solutions to linear inequalities in one variable. Linear inequalities in two variables are graphically solved. Finding a solution to a system of linear inequalities in two variables using a graphical technique.
Combinations and Permutations
Counting's fundamental premise
(n!) Factorial n. Simple applications, permutations and combinations, the formula for nPr and nCr
Coordinate Geometry (Unit-III)
Conic SectionsCone sections include circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas. Parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola standard equations and basic characteristics A circle's standard equation.
Three-Dimensional Geometry (Introduction)
Axes and planes of coordinates in three dimensions. A point's coordinates. Section formula and distance between two places
Calculus (Unit IV)
DerivativesBoth as a distance function and geometrically, derivative is presented as a rate of change. Derivative definition, including tangent of the curve, derivative of sum, difference, product, and quotient of functions. Polynomial and trigonometric functions have derivatives.
Unit V: Probability and Statistics
ProbabilityExperiments at random; results, sample spaces (set representation). Events; their occurrence, 'not', 'and', and 'or' events, comprehensive events, mutually exclusive events, and so on. The chance of an occurrence, as well as the probabilities of 'not', 'and', and 'or' events.
