 Sub Staff:


The post of Sub Staff requires a candidate to have passed the class 10th examination from a recognized board . The recruitment is mainly done through an exam . The role is mainly of a peon or a sweeper at the bank branch or the administrative office- wherever the person is  posted.

Salary : Rs 9560-18545 per month 


Bank Clerks :

Candidate must be a graduate to apply for the post .The role  is generally  sales oriented and includes responsibilities like bank transactions, updating accounts, checking of  statements or cashing of  checks etc. 

Basic computer knowledge and good communication skill is required for the post . Recruitment is done through written exam .

Salary - Rs. 2lakhs-4laks per annum

 Probationary Officers (PO) :

A probationary officer undergoes a training or probation period of 2 years and is then appointed to the  post of Assistant Manager on joining a branch.They have to work to  increase  the bank  business , deal with management , public relations and other managerial tasks . The career  prospect is very high here and you can get promoted to Branch Manager  , General Manager and other well off posts through your performance . 


Salary :  Rs. 27620-42000 per month



 Bank Specialists:

As a specialist in a bank the job profile depends on the area of specialization.  While some work for IT , some work with marketing , HR and so on . The scope for growth is limited here unlike PO but the salary is good.  
Certain grades and positions that fall under this category are :
  • JMG Scale I or Junior Management Grade B Scale I
  • MMG Scale-II or Medium Management Scale-II Grade A
  • Middle Management Scale-III Grade A
  • SMG Scale-IV or Senior Management Scale-IV Grade A-
 Salary :The Salary for specialists depends on their rank for instance a Specialist Officer for Scale 1 gets Rs. 23,700/- (basic pay) as salary .
