  • Part 1 (3 disciplines), 
  • Part-II (8 disciplines), 
  • Part-III (1 discipline). 
• The educational qualification of the posts under all 3 varies from stream to stream and will be mentioned in detail in the later section of the article. 
• The maximum age limit for the Un-Reserved (UR) /EWS is 28 years, OBC (Non-creamy layer) is 31 years and SC/ST is 33 years.

The official notification has details related to the age limit that the candidates must in order to be eligible. The age limit is the maximum age till which candidates can make an application for the examination. The details related to the DRDO Scientist B age limit are as follows:

The Maximum age criteria for the candidates should be:

There is certain age relaxation given by DRDO as per the official notice which is mentioned below:

• PwD (HH) and PwD(OH) - 10 years
• Central Civilian Govt. employees - 5 years

As this is a Scientist vacancy the educational qualification for all three opportunities is important. The candidates must note that eligibility as per the education is the most significant factor in determining eligibility for the post. 2	General Studies	The candidate should have a first class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent AND Valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering OR Minimum 80% aggregate marks in EQ degree, if done from an IIT or NIT
3	Computer Science & Engineering	Candidate should have at least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent AND Valid GATE score in Computer Science & Information Technology OR Minimum 80% aggregate marks in EQ degree, if done from an IIT or NIT
