  • There are two papers in HSSC Group D Exam- Paper I and Paper II.
  • Paper I carries 75% weightage while Paper II carries 25% weightage.
  • Exam is of a total of 90 marks.

HSSC Group D Exam Pattern

  1. The total examination is for 90 marks
  2. The marks are divided between Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  3. Paper 1 has a weightage of 67.5 Marks or 75%.
  4. Paper 2 has a weightage of 22.5  Marks or 25%.
  5. The exam is conducted in offline mode
  6. Haryana Group D notification does not contain any information on negative marking.
  7. The stipulated time for examination will be released with official notification.
The detailed examination pattern is given below.

Paper I General Awareness, Reasoning, Science, Maths, English Language, Hindi, knowledge on Village Panchayat. 67.5 Marks 75% weightage
Paper-II Current Affairs, History, Literature, Civics, Geography, Culture, Environment, etc of Haryana 22.5 marks
  25% weightage
  Total 90 Marks  


Candidates are also awarded marks for Socio-Economic criteria and experience. The details are as follows:
Criteria Marks
If none of the candidate’s mother, father,  brothers, spouse, and sons is, was, or has been a regular employee of the Government of Haryana or Government of India 5
If the applicant is:  
a.       Widow, or
b.       The 1st or the 2nd child and his/her father had died before the age of 42 years
c.       The 1st or the 2nd child and his/her father had died before the candidate attained 15 years of age

If the candidate belongs to:  
a.       Tapriwas Jatis (Denotified Tribe)
b.       Vimukt Jati (Denotified Tribe)
c.       Nomadic Tribe of Haryana

If the candidate has a minimum work experience of 6 months and a maximum work experience of 16 years under the Government of Haryana 0.5 marks for each year and a maximum mark of 8


Candidates are finally selected for the post according to the merit list which is prepared according to the marks obtained by them in the written exam and socio-economic criteria and experiece.
