3713

Ans. 3725

Solution:

(35)2 + (30)2 + (40)2 = ?

= 1225 + 900 + 1600

= 3725

Q.2 What value will come in place of question mark(?) in the following questions?

2660 / 95 = ? + 22

1.3

2.11

3.-4

4.-3

5.6

Ans. 6

Solution:

? = 2660 \ 95 – 22

= 28 – 22

= 6

Q.3 What value will come in place of question mark (?) in the following question?

58/264 X 88/348 X ? = 11

1.188

2.202

3.204

4.198

5.210

Ans. 198

Solution:

? = (11 x 348 x 264)/(58 x 88)

= 11 x ( 348/58) x (264/88) = 11 x 6 x 3 = 198

Q.4 What value will come in place of question mark ? in the following question?

√2916 + √4761 – √7921 = ?

1.42

2.41

3.31

4.34

5.35

Ans. 34

Solution:

54 = 2916, 69 = 4791, 89 = 7921

? = √2916 + √4761 – √7921

= 54 + 69 – 89 = 34

Q.5 Find the wrong term in the series given below.

10, 41,168,667,2672,10693

1.168

2.2672

3.41

4.10

5.667

Ans. 168

Solution:

The pattern is as follows

10 x 4 + 1 = 41

41 x 4 + 2 = 166

166 x 4 + 3 = 667

667 x 4 + 4 = 2672

2672 x 4 + 5 = 10693

Q.6 Find the wrong term in the series given below.

1538, 1178, 866, 602, 386, 216

1.1178

2.386

3.866

4.602

5.216

Ans. 216

Solution:

First we find the difference,

1538 – 1178 = 360

1178 – 866 = 312

866 – 602 = 264

602 – 386 = 216

Second difference,

360 – 312 = 48

312 – 264 = 48

264 – 216 = 48

216 – 170 = 46

So, 218 should be in place of 216.

Hence, option e.

Q.7 Find the wrong term in the series given below.

570, 282, 138, 54, 30, 12, 3

1.12

2.282

3.54

4.30

5.138

Ans. 54

Solution:

Logic for the given series:

(570/2) – 3 = 282

(282 / 2) – 3 = 138

(138 / 2) – 3 = 66

(66 / 2 ) – 3 = 30

(30/2) – 3 = 12

(12/2) – 3 = 3

SO, wrong term = 54

Q.8 Find the wrong term in the series given below.

10, 36, 69, 117, 180, 260

1.10

2.36

3.180

4.117

5.69

Ans. 36

Solution:

The pattern in as follows:

10 + (52 – 1) = 34

34 + (62 – 1) = 69

69 + (72 – 1) = 117

117 + (82 – 1) = 180

180 + (92 – 1) = 260

Q.9 In the following questions two equations numbered I and Il are given. You have to solve both the equations and choose the correct option.

1. x2 +26x +165 = 0

2. Y2 +38y +345 = 0
1. ×
2. x > y

3. X ≤ Y

4. x≥ y

5. X = y or relationship cannot be established

Ans. x≥ y

Solution:

From equation 1.

x2 +26x +165 = (x+11)(x + 15) =0

  • X = -11, -15

From equation 2:

Y2 + 38 y + 345 = (y+15)(y + 23)=0

  • Y = -15, -23

X = -11

X = -15

Y= -15

X > y

X = y

Y= -23

X >y

X > y

So , x ≥ y

Q.10 In the following questions two equations numbered 1 and 2 are given. You have to solve both the equations and choose the correct option.

1. x2 +30x +221 = 0

II. y2 +24y +143 = 0

1.x < Y

2.x > y

3.x ≤ y

4.x ≥ y

5.x = y or relationship cannot be established

Ans. x ≤ y

Solution:

x2 +30x +221 = ( x -17) ( x + 13) = 0

  • x = -17, -13

From equation 2:

. y2 +24y +143 = (y + 13)(y + 11) = 0

  • y = -13, -11

X = -17

X = -13

Y = -13

X < y

X = y

Y = -11

X < y

X < y

SO, x ≤ y
