The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts the IBPS PO Exam every year. IBPS provides public sector banks with uniform recruitment and training services (PSB).It administers a number of bank tests, the most common of which is the IBPS PO.This test allows all member PSBs, as well as a few public sector insurance providers, to hire probationary officers.


IBPS PO stands for Probationary Officer who is basically an Assistant Manager of Scale I in a bank. He is a Grade I Junior Manager and has to undergo a probation period of 2 years until their stature is,confirmed .
After the selection criteria is complete the Probationary Officer has to go through an intensive training period at Institute of Banking Management where they are trained in all aspects . The probation period of 2 years differs from bank to bank.

The question  that this article will address is ' can a person who has passed graduation with less than 60% apply for IBPS PO' and the answer is Yes. Candidates with less than 60% marks in their Graduation Degree are also eligible for IBPS PO Exam because candidates only need a Graduation Degree to appear in the exam.

Educational Qualification : 
 
  • A candidate with a Graduation Degree in any stream from a  recognized University/ Institution  or candidates with  any such  equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • For candidates who have been  awarded with CGPA must convert it into  percentage (nearest to 2 decimal places) and mention it in the application form.

Computer expertise -

Candidates must understand the fundamentals of machine operation since exams are now taken online.

Language Proficiency- 


It is desirable to have verbal and written knowledge of the state/UT.

The applicant must be between the ages of 20 and 30, but not more than 30.

Candidates who want to sit for the  exam should make sure they meet the requirements. Take into account the age relaxation that is available. The notification's adjustments will be reflected here.


Nationality- The applicant may be from any of the following countries:
 
  • An Indian citizen
  • Prior to January 1, 1962, any Nepalese or Bhutanese Tibetan refugee had established a permanent residence in India.
  • A person of Indian origin who has moved to India permanently from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia.
