Is the exam easy to crack ?
The answer for this depends on the hardwork and dedication that a student puts in the initial preparation . If you work hard , do eveything as planned , devise a right strategy and work on it with dedication you'll surely ace the exam .
SSC MTS is conducted by the commission through two papers :
SSC MTS Paper I - Objective Type
SSC MTS Paper-II- Descriptive test
Paper I:
General English - 25 marks
The General English section is one of the easiest sections to get a hold on if you want to ace the exam .The 25 marks the section carries can be scored with a good preparation and properly planned study plan . Candidates should focus more on topics like Vocabulary , Grammar , synonyms , antonyms etc .Reading is key to scoring in English better . You need to practice reading daily to develop your speed
skills.

General Awareness -25 marks.
Read the newspaper Daily .Be through with the things ongoing in country and even world .Only answer the questions you're confident about to not lose marks . Some options can be tricky .

History
Culture
Geography
Economic scene
General polity including Indian constitution, and scientific research
Quantitative Aptitude -25 marks
Don’t spend too much time on a particular question in this section. This sections requires most amount
of time in the exam. So candidates who are a bit slow with calculation techniques are advised to
attempt this at the end, to avoid the incompletion of the paper. Practice is the key .

- The examination will be of 90 minutes for General candidates and 120 minutes for PWD (cerebral palsy and visually handicapped)
- The SSC MTS Paper I will be bilingual and will be conducted both English and Hindi language, except the General English section.
- There are 100 questions in Paper I carrying 1 mark each and negative markims for each wrong answer is 0.25 marks.
- Candidates who qualify in Paper I will be called to appepar for Paper II
Paper II:
Short Essay/Letter in English Language or any language included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution- 50 marks. The key to scoring good in this section is through research proper practise and creative writing ability . Brush up your language skills and practice writing every day .
- General candidates will get 30 minutes whereas PWD candidates will be granted 40 minutes
- Paper II will test the elementary language skills of the candidates.
NOTE: SSC MTS Paper-II is qualifying in nature i.e. it is mandatory to pass but the marks are not considered for preparing final merit list.
Apart from these :
1. Attempt as many mock tests as you can
2. Read newspaper daily
3. Set up a study plan
4. Solve past year papers
5.Try to engage in efficient management of time
6.Identify your strengths and weaknesses and work on them
