SSC MTS recruitment is a successful opportunity for those with just a high school diploma to apply for government employment in India. It is kept to fill vacancies in the central government's various ministries and departments for multitasking workers (MTS). Despite the fact that the number of candidates applying for MTS positions grows every year, many are unaware of the work duties of MTS cadre employees.

Apart from the Indian civil services (IAS, IPS, IFS, and so on), there are other jobs in the central government classified as Group B, C, and D.
This route generates between 15 and 20,000 jobs a year in these government departments.

To be considered for these positions, applicants must pass exams administered by the Staff Selection Commission, such as the SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, and SSC JE (SSC).

MTS Job Description

MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) is a community "C" cadre role developed in response to the 6th CPC's recommendation.

Peon, daftary, jamadar, junior gestetner operator, farash, chowkidar, safaiwala, and other Group D posts were recently grouped together and will now be referred to as MTS.
We know you're curious about the MTS job description.

  • ·        Photocopying, FAX transmission, and other similar tasks
  • ·        Work in the Section/Unit that is not clerical in nature.
  • ·        Assisting with routine office tasks such as diary, despatch, and so forth, including on the computer
  • ·        Dak distribution (outside the building)
  • ·        Responsibilities of the watch and ward
  • ·        Room opening and closing
  • ·        Room cleaning

  • ·        Vehicle operation while in possession of a valid driver's license
  • ·        Maintenance of parks, lawns, and potted plants, among other things
  • ·        Some other job that the superior authority assigns

The above list is only illustrative; depending on the nature of the job, ministries/departments can add a few more duties of a similar nature.

Salary for MTS

Both applicants for SSC MTS jobs have one question in mind: what is the take-home pay for multitasking employees? (MTS).

Multi-Tasking Staff is a non-gazetted, non-ministerial general central service group ‘C' post that comes under Pay band-1 (Rs.5200 – 20200) + Grade Pay Rs.1800.

MTS's monthly take-home pay ranges from Rs.18,000 to Rs.22,000 per month (approx). Since MTS employees are stationed in various departments and states, their pay can vary slightly depending on position, allowances, and other factors.

Is It Better to Work for MTS?

Many of you have asked, “Are SSC MTS jobs good?” because we also, inform our visitors about bank exams and other government sector exams.

The responsibilities of multitasking workers in government offices are vastly different from those of officers/clerks in banks or any other central government role.

As a result, comparing MTS to these industries is pointless.

While a pass in the std. X exam is all that is required to become an MTS, candidates with a BE/ Btech/ MBA degree may find it difficult to function as MTS due to the types of tasks they must perform on a daily basis, such as carrying papers, making photocopies, and cleaning the furniture.

However, if you feel at ease in a central government job and can manage or perform the above-mentioned tasks, you can apply.

So, whatever work you have, learn what you can about it ahead of time, make your own decisions, and be prepared to adjust to changing circumstances.
