SSC CHSL Exam: SSC CHSL Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. The Commission releases the notification for the exam on its official website. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Official Notification for SSC CHSL 2022 exam for the post of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Data Entry Operator(DEO) on 6 December 2022. SSC CHSL Exam Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the exam is mentioned in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they fulfill SSC CHSL eligibility criteria before they apply for the exam. The SSC CHSL Exam Eligibility criteria is as follows:




·        Indian

·        A person of Indian origin,

·        A subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee

Age Limit

Should be aged between 18 and 27 years as on As on 01-01-2021. Candidates born not before02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003 are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University

Candidates can follow the below given steps to apply for SSC CHSL Exam:

  • Go to the official website of the Staff Service Commission ( and click on the link that is given below to apply online for SSC CHSL Recruitment.
  • Register yourselves.
  • Login again by using the Roll no/Registration ID & Password to finish the form.
  • Enter your details such as details, educational qualifications, and other details.
  • Upload your photograph and signature.
  • Pay the application fee online.
  • Finally, submit the application form.
  • Print out a copy of the application form, which will help for future use.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern

There are 3 stages in this exam. The examination consists of Computer Based Exam (Tier –I) and Tier- II. 

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern: Tier I    

The first phase of the SSC CHSL exam is a online exam. Where candidates will have to secure marks more than a certain cutoff, in order to be eligible for other phases of the exam.

  1. Questions in Tier –I are objective type
  2. Each question carries 2 mark.
  3. Stipulated time for completion of Tier –I is one hour.
  4. SSC CHSL Tier –I is a bilingual exam, conducted in Hindi and English.
  5. In Tier-I, there will be negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
