SSC CHSL Selection Process: Looking for SSC CHSL selection process? If yes, then you have reached the right page. The Staff Selection Commission has released the official notification for SSC CHSL Exam 2022-23. The last date to apply for the exam was 4th January 2023. Recently, SSC has also announced SSC CHSL tier 1 exam dates. What is the SSC CHSL Selection Process 2023? 

The Commission selects the candidates based on three stages i.e the selection process will consist of two Tiers of exams:

  • Tier 1: Objective-type computer-based examination (CBE)
  • Tier 2: Objective-type CBE and Skill test


Note: A final merit list will be prepared for the shortlisted candidates who clear the SSC CHSL Cut off of all these stages successfully. Also, the official notification is not released as yet but the stages mentioned above are as per the  Examination.

SSC CHSL Selection Process Tier 1 2023

The Tier- 1 selection process of SSC CHSL 2023 is given below.

  • The Tier-1 exam consists of multiple-choice questions (objective).
  • Language of question paper will be in both the languages Hindi and English. You should also check the SSC CHSL Syllabus in depth to get an idea about the topics asked.
  • Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer and 0.50 marks will get deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • The total score in tier-1 will be 200.
  • Candidates will get a maximum of 1 hour to complete the examination.

SSC CHSL Selection Process for Tier 2 2022

  • The Tier II will be a descriptive paper 100 Marks in ‘Pen and Paper Mode The duration of the paper would be for one hour.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2023: Final Allotment

The final selection and the allocation of departments to the candidates will be determined based on the performance of candidates in the Tier-1 and Tier-2 exam.

Based on the merit list, the recommended candidates will be allotted to the posts of PA, SA, DEO, and LDC. Candidates are not allowed to change their preference for a post once it is declared.

Candidates might have a query regarding tie cases. In the cases where two applicants have equal scores in both Tier 1+Tier2, such tie cases will be solved by applying the below-mentioned methods one after the other.SSC CHSL 2023 selection process: Tie Cases resolution

  • Total scores of the Tier-2 Exam.
  • Date of Birth, an older candidate will be placed higher.
  • Alphabetical order.
