UPPSC PCS 2021 : Notification Date, Exam Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern and More

Are you aspiring for PCS Job? The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has released the notification for PSC 2021 Exam. The notification was released on 5th February 2021. As per the notification, there are 416 vacancies for different posts. Interested candidates should not miss this opportunity and apply for this exam. The application process had begun on 5th February, 2021. The last date to apply was 2nd March 2021 and the last date to make the fee payment was 5th March 2021.  Here are the latest updates with respect to the UPPCS Exam:
  1. The Prelims exam for the 2021 Cycle was conducted on the 24th of October 2021.
  2. The Mains examination is set to begin in the last week of January 2022.
  3. The result of the Prelims examination will be declared soon.
  4. This year around 15 times the vacancy will be called for the mains examination.

UPPSC PSC 2021 : Eligibility

Age Limit

Candidates applying for this exam should be between 21 years to 40 years of age as on July 1, 2021. Candidates born before 2nd July, 1981 and after July 1, 2000 are not eligible to apply for the exam. There are certain age relaxations which are as follows:

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for this exam should be graduates. Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply for this exam however they should be able to submit their final marksheet during the UPPCS PSC Mains Exam Detailed Form Submission.

UPPSC PCS 2021 : Selection Process

There are three stages in this exam and candidates must clear all the stages to be finally selected. The three stages are :
  • Prelims
  • Mains
  • Interview

UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam

There are two papers in prelims exam-Paper I and Paper II.  Both the papers are of 200 marks. While Paper I consists of 150 questions, Paper-II consists of 100 questions. This is an offline exam in which multiple choice questions are asked in the paper.

The questions in Paper-I are asked from the folllowing range of topics:
  • Current events of national and international Importance
  • History of India and Indian National Movement
  • Indian Polity and governance
  • India and World Geography
  • Economic and Social Development
  • Environment & Ecology
  • General Science
The questions in Paper-II are asked from the following range of topics:
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
  • Comprehension
  • General mental ability
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision making and problem-solving
  • Elementary Mathematics up to Class X level- Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Statistics.
  • General Hindi up to Class X level
  • General English up to Class X level
