UPSC Civil Services Reserve List 2021, 63 candidates selected!

Union Public Service Commission has released the reserved list for the 2021 examination. As per the reserve list, a total of 63 candidates have been selected for the various posts through UPSC Examination. The reserve list is released after the candidates in the original list have joined the academies and the seats left over are appointed to reserved candidates. The candidates must note that with the UPSC Civil Services result there is a list of candidates who are mentioned in the Reserved list, later from which they are appointed to various posts as per the vacancies in the academies. UPSC Civil Services Reserve List

Out of the 63, a total of 46 candidates are from the general category, 12 from OBC, 4 from EWS and 1 from SC category to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2021.UPSC declared the Civil Services Final Result on May 30, 2022, and a total of 685 candidates were recommended in the merit list. What Is UPSC Civil Services Reserve  List 

As per the clarification by UPSC “It is clear that the reserve list is not a waiting list. In fact, the reserve list is necessitated in a multi-service examination to allow candidates of reserved categories to choose a service of higher preference who qualify at or above the general qualifying standard without availing any concession/relaxation at any stage of the examination." Ths Along with the list of recommended candidates of the Main result, the commission also maintains a consolidated reserve list of candidates of general and reserved categories ranking below the last recommended candidate in the merit order under each of the categories for the subsequent 2 recommendations.

Candidates can download the UPSC Civil Service Reserve List  2021 from the official website. Below are the steps to download the result:

2. Now, click on the link for the ‘UPSC Civil Service Reserved List 2021’ available on the homepage.
3. A new PDF file will appear on the screen consisting of the result.
4. Download the result and also take the printout for future reference.
