Which One has a Shorter Juvenile Period- Annual or Perennial Plants, and Why?

Annual plants have shorter jevenile phase compare to perennial plans. Moreover, it also depends on number of flowering seasons in a given year. Some perennial plants produce flower only once in a year. Some others may produce flowers once in 50 years or even 100 years. In annual plants like Pea, Watermelon etc the plants undergoes juvenile phase followed by reproductive phase within one growing season, so, it has a shorter juvenile phase
