Option B FSH or follicle stimulating hormone is produced by basophilic cells and secreted from anterior lobe of pituitary gland. It stimulates growth of ovarian follicles upto ovulation in females and in males, it stimulates development of seminiferous tubules and maintains spermatogenesis. Ovulation is controlled by Luteinizing hormone (LH), blood sugar is controlled by glucagon and insulin and, growth is controlled by growth hormone.
