There was a total of 75,803 candidates who appeared in the exam at 81 centers across 11 districts for the recruitment of 1,700 constables on March 27, 2022. The result for the same was declared on April 5, 2022. Moreover, among the total candidates, there were a total of 60,454 male candidates and 14,563 female candidates. Also, 696 male candidates appeared for the post of driver.
After the initial investigation, it appeared that the question paper was leaked, said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.

For the investigation a Special investigation team has been created led by deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Madhusudan and comprising superintendents of police Vimukt Ranjan, Khushal Chand Sharma, Rohit Malpani, and Virender Kalia, will probe the case.

During the document verification, they were not able to give answers to simple GK questions during Document Verification. Also, they had admitted that they has seen the question papers before.
