1. Preparation Strategy for Fassi 

1. When you begin your preparation, perform at least three mocks of both Phases 1 and 2 to discover your strong and weak points. After carefully examining the topics you are strong in and which you are poor in, categorise them into strong and weak groups. Be truthful.
2. Brush up on Current Affairs: If you just have a limited amount of time, begin with current affairs after you have completed at least half of your syllabus. Do not start your preparation with the current event.
3. Practice Writing: Every week, take a Phase 2 FM or ESI and Essay test to develop your writing abilities.

2. Prepare a Time Table

Create a Study Timeline, which divides your preparation time into week-by-week sections. Choose two subjects at a time, one that you excel at and one that you struggle with. You may also follow the timeline I've provided below. It is separated into two shifts: morning and evening. Make a schedule in which you can devote 4-5 hours every day.

3. Practice Mock Tests

1. It is critical to write mocks at least once a week. Depending on where you are in your preparation, mocks might be sectional or complete. You may begin by taking sectional mocks. When the exam is one month out, you can start doing extensive mocks.
2. Sectional and comprehensive examinations both aid in developing the aspirant's time management abilities.
3. The mock analysis is just as vital as the mocks themselves. Mocks may be analysed by categorising your responses as accurate, wrong, or not responded. You should focus on questions that were answered by chance and responses that were incorrect due to foolish blunders. Try to keep these two to a minimum.
4. Work on your elimination method to improve your score and accuracy. Under elimination, you remove all choices before deciding on a solution. It is unquestionably more time consuming, but it is also more accurate. (In quant and reasoning, elimination is not always successful. There is no need to use elimination if you have arrived at the correct answer by answering a question.)

4. Find the right books

To prepare for any exam, especially government exams, you must have the right resources. Find out the simplest yet the books that comprise all the sections needed for the exam. You need to be factually correct in the exam.

5. Important Tips

1. Make a plan for your day before you leave the house in the morning, and stick to it as strictly as you can.
2. Depending on your schedule, revise daily or monthly. Working aspirants can stick to a weekly revision programme, while students can stick to a daily revision routine.
3. You should thoroughly examine the previous year's papers. This will assist you in listing the essential static aspects of the subjects and will throw light on the shifting trends/changing patterns.
4. Perform a Self-Assessment every now and then: Make an effort to monitor yourself, as you are your own greatest guide. You must understand where you are lacking and how much time you need to commit to a certain issue.
5. Don't spend too much time reading the papers. Before an interview, current events publications are more useful. Arguments and points of view are more useful at the interview stage. For phases 1 and 2, you may rely on monthly publications.
6. Avoid last-minute rushes when it comes to vital activities like filling out your application form, downloading your admission card, and so on.
