Are you looking for TS TET Syllabus? TS TET or Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana State. The candidates who aspire to become teachers in the Telangana state must apply for the TS TET Exam. TS TET is conducted to recruit candidates in teaching capacity for grades Classes I to VIII in Telangana State.
There are two  TS TET papers in the exam which are Paper-I and Paper-II. Aspirants who plan to teach Classes 1-5 need to give Paper-I and candidates who plan to teach Classes 6-8 need to take Paper-II. Aspirants who plan to teach Classes 1-8 need to take both papers. Candidates should be aware of the TS TET Syllabus and Exam Pattern. The details related to exam are as follows:
  1. The application window for the exam is open from March 26 to April 11, 2022.
  2. The last date for submission of the application form is April 12, 2022. 
  3. The exam will be held on June 12, 2022.
  4. The age limit as per TS TET Eligibility is 18 years and above 35 years.

TS TET Syllabus 

The TS TET Exam will be held across 33 districts in the state. There are two papers in the TS TET exam. The syllabus of these two papers is similar but not the same. The syllabi for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V. The difficulty standard, as well as linkages of content/topics, could be up to Secondary Stage (up to Class X) for testing The detailed syllabus for TS TET is mentioned below:

TS TET Syllabus Child Development and Pedagogy

a) Child Development (Elementary School Child) 

  • Concept of development and its relationship with learning

  • Principles of the development of children

  • Influence of Heredity & Environment

  • Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers)

  • Piaget, Kohlberg and Vygotsky: constructs and critical perspectives

  • Concepts of child-centred and progressive education

  • Critical perspective of the construct of Intelligence

  • Gender as a social construct; gender roles, gender-bias and educational practice

a) Language Comprehension 15 Questions

Reading unseen passages – two passages one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar and verbal ability (Prose passage may be literary, scientific, narrative or discursive)

b) Pedagogy of Language Development

TS TET Exam Pattern 

The exam pattern for the examination is given below:

  1. Paper 1 is for the aspirants who wish to become teachers of Class 1 to V while Paper 2 is for the aspirants who wish to become teachers of Class VI to VIII. A candidate may apply for both the papers too depending on the eligibility. 

  2. The questions are Multiple Choice questions which will be in bilingual medium.- English or any other language.

  3. If the candidate opts for Sanskrit the paper will be in Telugu and Saskarit.

  4. There is no negative marking for the TS TET Exam.

The following languages are offered under first Language in schools under State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Gujarati. A Candidate has to choose one of these 8 languages under Language-I of TSTET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that language either as medium of study or as first language at least up to Class X. The candidates who studied CBSE/ICSE curriculum can choose the language which they have studied up to Class X.

The Language-II shall be English for all candidates.
