Are you aware of eligibility for UPPSC APO Exam? Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the UPPSC APO notification 2022 for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO).  Each year a number of candidates apply for APO Recruitment. Those who are planning to appear for the exam in the future must be aware of UPPSC APO Eligibility Criteria. The eligibility for this exam is based on Age limit, educational qualification, and the number of attempts.
The candidates must note that the application process for the exam is open till  21st May 2022.  There are a total of 44 vacancies that have been notified by the UPPSC. The age limit and the number of attempts for the exam vary as per the category of the candidate. UPPSC APO Eligibility

The official notification for the exam carries the eligibility criteria in detail. Before applying for the post candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. As per the official notification, the eligibility for the year 2022 APO Exam  is based on the following parameters:

UPPSC APO Eligibility - Nationality 

As per the official notification, a candidate must be.
  • A Citizen of India 
  • A Subject of Nepal 
  • A Subject of Bhutan 
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in India 
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

UPPSC APO Eligibility- Age Limit 

Candidates applying for this exam should be between 21 years to 40 years of age as of July 1, 2022. Candidates born before 2nd July 1982 and after July 1, 2001, are not eligible to apply for the exam. There are certain age relaxations which are as follows:

UPPCS APO Eligibility - Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for this exam should be Law graduates. I.e The candidates must possess Law Degree from any recognized University up to the last date for receipt of application. Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation can not  also apply for this exam.
