The month of August saw two important exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.  From August 1 and 7, 2021 prelims for IBPS RRB PO was held, while August 8 and 14, 2021, prelims exam for RRB Office assistant was conducted by IBPS. The result of these exams is expected towards the end of August or in the first week of September. IBPS had this year released 12,958 vacancies through the official notification. What is IBPS RRB PO Exam?

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is mandated to conduct examinations for recruitment of young candidates in public sector banks. They are also mandated to conduct recruitment for Regional Rural Bank. IBPS annually conducts the examination for Recruitment of Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in Regional Rural Banks, commonly known as IBPS RRB PO and IBPS RRB Clerk exams. The section process for IBPS RRB PO consists of 3 stage process- prelims, mains, and interview.The participating banks through their nodal banks and NABARD and IBPS conduct the interview round. IBPS RRB PO Result

Approximately 8 lack candidates had applied for the examination of IBPS RRB PO. The result for the preliminary stage is expected to be released in the month of August itself. Candidates who have appeared for the examination must keep themselves updated from the official website of IBPS.  The result will be declared along with Cut off for the preliminary stage, candidates who pass the prelims stage will appear for the mains exam in the month of September.

IBPS RRB PO Exam Notification 2022

On June 7 the notification for the IBPS RRB PO was released along with the IBPS RRB Clerk Exam.
The notification goes as follows:

  • The online examinations for the next Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs X) for recruitment of Group “A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistant (Multipurpose) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in August and September/ October 2021. The interviews for recruitment of Group “A”- Officers (Scale-I, II & III) under the same process will be coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the help of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority tentatively in the month of November 2022.

  • Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Regional Rural Banks listed at (A) as Group “A”-Officers (Scale- I, II & III) and Group “B”-Office Assistant (Multipurpose), is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP for RRBs- X).

  • For the posts of Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multi-purpose) the examination will be two tier i.e. the Online Examination will be held in two phases, Preliminary and Main.

IBPS RRB PO Exam 2022 Selection Process

The selection process is covered here in detail, candidates must keep note of these steps:
The recruitment process begins with the official notification. The next stage is the application process. The candidates whose application is accepted receive an online admit card for the IBPS RRB PO Preliminary Exam which is the 1 st stage of 3 stage recruitment process. The recruitment process consists of a Preliminary Stage, followed by the mains exam and interview process. The candidates have to qualify the previous stage to reach the next. The finally selected candidates after the interview round are given provisional recruitment by the IBPS.
 

IBPS RRB PO Application Important Points

Candidates must keep the following steps in mind while applying for the exam.

  • Visit the official website of IBPS.

  • Register using relevant details asked.

  • Registration ID and password will be generated.

  • Log In again with the Registered ID and Password.

  • Proceed to apply for the examination.

  • Upload scanned photograph and signature

  • Provide relevant details like educational qualification, work experience etc.

  • Give your preference for a bank and state.

  • Upload handwritten declaration and left thumb impression

  • Proceed to pay the fee. The fee for the general and EWS candidates is Rs 850 Rupees

Before two weeks of the exam candidates will receive online admit cards. After the issue of admit card the Selection process is as follows:

IBPS RRB PO Preliminary Examination

This is a qualifying stage, where an adequate number of candidates are selected for the mains exam. For the ongoing examination cycle, the prelims exam was just conducted.  The result is usually released by IBPS within a month of examination. The exam pattern is as follows:

  • The total duration of the exam is 40 Minutes.

  • There are two sections in the exam.

  • The sections are Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.

  • There is a penalty for the wrong answers – ¼ th of marks are deducted.

The candidates who are successful in the preliminary stage have to appear for the mains exam. The mains exam is essential for getting a call for an interview round. The final merit list is made based on the score in the mains exam. The details of the mains exam pattern are as follows.

  1. The exam has 5 sections in total.

  2. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.

  3. The sections are to be attempted infixed time.

  4. There is a penalty for wrong answers.

  5. The paper is bilingual.

Candidates must qualify the sectional as well as an overall cutoff in the main exam to be eligible for an interview.

IBPS RRB PO Interview

The interview will be conducted by the participating banks through their nodal branches. The candidates 3 times the vacancy are called for the exam. NABARD and IBPS may also be involved the interview process.

 
IBPS RRB PO Final Result

The mains and the interview round are considered for the final result. The candidates are given various banks as per their performance in the examination. The results are declared on the official website of IBPS. For this cycle of IBPS RRB PO the final result is expected in January 2022.
