At the Foreign Training Node of Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan, the fourth iteration of the India-Oman Joint Military Exercise "AL NAJAH-IV" gets underway.
From August 1 to August 13, 2022, there is an exercise between the Indian Army and Royal Army of Oman contingents.

- At the AL NAJAH-IV, soldiers from the 18 Mechanized Infantry Battalion will represent the Indian Army.
- The Sultan of Oman Parachute Regiment will represent the Royal Army of Oman contingent.
- The goal of this joint military exercise is to strengthen bilateral ties between India and Oman as well as the level of defence cooperation between the two armies.
- The focus of the exercise would be on joint physical training regimens, tactical drills, methods, and procedures, as well as Counter Terrorism Operations, Regional Security Operations, and Peacekeeping Operations under the United Nations Charter.
