For the first time, the World Athletics Championships were contested in America. Additionally, Team USA made the most of their time during the previous 10 days in terms of medals. • With one silver medal each, South Korea, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Croatia, Greece, and Algeria are tied for 33rd place with India in the medal count.
• American athletes dominated the podium in the men's 100-meter, 200-meter, and shot put events.
• And into the last day of competition at Oregon22, Team USA maintained their dominance.
• The women's 800-meter event and the men's and women's 4400-meter relays, both won gold medals on Sunday thanks to Athing Mu, giving the United States a total of four podium finishers.
• Ethiopia, Jamaica, and Kenya all finished the international competition with a combined total of 10 medals. Ethiopia is in the lead with four gold medals, only China has more.
• A total of 43 different countries' athletes will leave with at least one medal.
