The National Health Authority (NHA) has onboarded the Quality Council of India (QCI) for six months to accredit and rate HMIS (Health Management Information System) and LMIS (Laboratory Information Management System) solutions that have been integrated with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), a constituent board of QCI, is in charge of national accreditation in the medical industry. THE KEY POINTS
- NABH will be tasked with accrediting and rating the ABDM ABDM-compatibletions on several variables, including ease of use, user interface, cost, the number of modules/features, and value for money/price to give potential customers trustworthy information.
- According to Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, QCI, the recognized health tech solutions would help healthcare organizations manage their patient journeys and business more systematically in compliance with ABDM criteria.
- According to the Ministry, the accreditation procedure would take place in phases. The primary focus of Phase I will be on assessing and accrediting HMIS solutions that have effectively integrated with ABDM.
- NABH, QCI will enlist experts in the field of digital health as part of this endeavor to create an accreditation standard for digital health solutions across multiple product categories (such as HMIS, LMIS, Health Locker, etc.) that have completed their ABDM integration.
- The environment for testing the review parameters must be provided by NHA.
