SSC General Duty exam is conducted to recruit suitable candidates in paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and other organizations under Home Ministry like: NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. This is an all-India Level Exam and with lacks of candidates appearing for the exam. The eligibility criteria and exam pattern is given in the official notification. The SSC GD Exam as per the job role and organization is described below.

SSC GD Exam Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the exam is mentioned in the official notification. Candidates must ensure they meet all the criteria before they apply for the exam. The SSC GD Exam Eligibility criteria is as follows:

SSC GD Exam Selection Process

There are three satages in SSC GD selection process:

SSC GD Computer Based Test

All the candidates with valid admit cards can appear for this Stage. This is a computer-based exam, where 5 sections are tested for 100 marks in total. The candidates who are successful in this stage are called for the Physical Round.

SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test

The physical test is mandatory and there are no marks awarded for this exam. The candidates who meet the criteria are considered for the medical examination. Otherwise, candidates are rejected.

SSC CD Medical Examination

Before the final selection candidates who have made it through the written round and physical efficiency test are made to go through a medical examination.

 

SSC GD Exam Pattern

There are three phases to the exam, only candidates who clear the three stages and are found medically suitable are selected for various posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP,NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles.

SSC GD Written Exam Pattern 

The first phase of the SSC GD exam is the online exam. Where candidates will have to secure marks more than a certain cutoff, in order to be eligible for other phases of the exam. Questions in Stage 1 are objective type carry 1 mark each, stipulated time for completion of stage one is 2 hours. SSC GD Stage one is a bilingual exam, conducted in Hindi and English.

Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test Pattern

All candidates will have to undergo a physical endurance & measurement test. They should meet fixed criteria. Candidates not found medically fit are rejected.
Though there are no marks allotted for this test, it is mandatory to be physically fit is one is to serve in posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP,NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. Following are the physical parameters set for males and females.
