The Staff Selection Commission released SSC GD 2022 official notification on 27th October 2022. SSC has changed SSC GD CBT exam pattern this year. Now a total of 80 questions will be asked from four sections. The duration of the exam will be 1 hour and there will be negative marking of 0.5 marks. SSC GD Constable New Exam Pattern 2022


There are three phases to the exam, only candidates who clear the three stages and are found medically suitable are selected for various posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman in Assam Rifles.
These phases are mentioned below:
  • Stage 1: – Written Exam (Objective type)
  • Stage 2: – Physical Standard Test/ Physical Efficiency Test
  • Stage 3: – Medical Test
The pattern of written exam is given below:
 
The first phase of the SSC GD exam is an online exam where candidates will have to secure marks more than a certain cutoff, in order to be eligible for other phases of the exam. As per the revised SSC GD Exam Pattern, a total of 80 questions will be asked. There are four sections in the exam- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematic and English/Hindi. The duration of the exam will be 60 minutes and there is negative marking of 0.5 marks.

All candidates will have to undergo a physical endurance & measurement test. They should meet fixed criteria. Candidates not found medically fit are rejected.
Though there are no marks allotted for this test, it is mandatory to be physically fit is one is to serve in posts under BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP,NIA, SSF and Rifleman in Assam Rifles. SSC GD Physical Standard for Male Candidates

Height 170 cm (minimum)
Chest 81 (Unexpanded), 85 (Expanded)
Race   5 km in 24 minutes
Long Jump 14 feet , candidates will get three chances
 
High Jump 3’9’’ (In three chances)
 
 
 

SSC GD Physical Standards for Female Candidates

Height 157 cm (minimum)
Race   1600 meters in 8.30 minutes
Long Jump 1o feet , candidates will get three chances
 
High Jump 3’ (In three chances)
 
 
Candidates are advised to stay physically fit and take out time for physical fitness.
