NDA Eligibility Criteria

NDA Exam is a test for candidates from all over India who want to join the Indian Defense Forces. Candidates are recruited for the Air Force, Navy, and Army through the NDA.
Before applying, make sure you meet the eligibility requirements since only those who meet these requirements are eligible to take the exam.

NDA Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

  • The nominee must be an Indian, Nepalese, or Bhutanese resident.
  • Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of becoming permanent residents are also eligible.
  • An individual of Indian origin who has migrated to India permanently from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam is also qualified to apply.
  • Candidates who were not Indian citizens or Nepalese Gorkha subjects required a certificate of eligibility from the Indian government.
     

NDA Eligibility Criteria: Age Limits, Gender & Marital Status

The minimum age limit is that candidates should be 15.7 years/ 16 years of age during the commencement of the course and the maximum age limit is that candidates should be 18.7 years/19 years of age during the commencement of the course. There are no age relaxations provided to candidates in this exam.

NDA Eligibility Criteria: Qualification Criteria

The following are the minimum requirements for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force:

Indian Army Eligibility:

Candidates interested in joining the Indian Army must have completed their 12th (10+2 pattern) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. 

Indian Navy and Air Force Eligibility:

Those interested in joining the Indian Navy or Air Force must have completed their 12th/appearing (10+2 pattern) from a recognized board or university, with Physics and Mathematics as a required subject.

Physical Criteria:

Candidates must be physically and mentally fit according to the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination physical requirements.
An applicant who has resigned or been dismissed from either of the Armed Forces' training academies due to disciplinary reasons is ineligible to apply.

Following that, pay increases would be made in accordance with promotions.
