On IndianArmy.nic.in, the Army Headquarters Selection Board has announced job openings for Chinese Interpreters who would work as Territorial Army Officers. Chinese translators are being sought by the Indian Army for the first time. Applications from Indian citizens who are in full-time employment are welcome (male & female). The application must be submitted by 10 August 2022. For the Territorial Army Officer Recruitment 2022, former military members are also allowed to apply. There are 5 openings for civilian candidates and 1 opening for veterans. How to Apply for the Chinese Interpreter Position in the Indian Army in 2022?

Completed application forms should be forwarded by India Post to the Directorate General Territorial Army, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence, "A" Block, 4th Floor, Defence Office Complex, KG Marg, New Delhi - 110001.

Eligibility Requirements

• Candidate Civilians - A degree in Chinese language with a minimum GPA of 55% from an accredited university OR two years of interpreting training at the HSK-IV level after graduating from a recognized university or institute in any field.
• formerly serving officers. - Graduation in any subject with a two-year Chinese language interpretership diploma from SFL/AEC Trg College & Center with a minimum "BX" grade.

Choice Process

There will be a request for applicants for:

• Proficiency Test: This 300-point test will be divided into three sections, each worth 200 points: writing, listening, and speaking.

The Army Headquarters Selection Board (ASB) will conduct a screening process for candidates at the Directorate General Territorial Army, Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence, 'A' Block, 4th Floor, Defence Office Complex, KG Marg, New Delhi - 110001. The final selection process for recommended applicants involves a medical examination at the Armed Forces Clinic in New Delhi, followed by a police verification.
