Eligiblity criteria 

The table given below consists of age limit and education qualification 

Age Limit- 
Candidates must have been born between August 1, 2002 and July 31, 2005. (Both dates inclusive).

Education criteria 
  • ssCandidates should have the following qualifications: 
  • (a) For AA: Passed the 10+2 examination with 60 percent or more in aggregate in Maths and Physics, as well as at least one of the following subjects:  Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science from Boards of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. 
  • (b) For SSR: Passed the 10+2 examination with Maths and Physics, as well as at least one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science, from Boards of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Marital Status : The Indian Navy only accepts unmarried male and unmarried female applicants for the position of agniveer. Candidates must promise not to get married before finishing their ab-initio training. If a candidate marries while through initial training or is discovered to be married despite having made a commitment regarding it, they risk being fired from their position.
 
 

Selection Process 

Candidates will be selected for interviews based on their cumulative percentages in the qualifying test (10+2) for Physics, Mathematics, and at least one of these subjects: Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Science.

State-by-state shortlisting will occur in a ratio of four times the number of openings. Since vacancies have been distributed according to states, the cutoff scores may differ from one state to the next. The shortlisted applicants will receive a call-up letter for the written test and PFT. The need for the written exam or PFT is the Aadhar Cards.

Physical Standards : Selection requires passing the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Candidates will participate in PFT at their own risk. Following are the PFT standards:-

Merit list : A merit list will be created based on written examination performance, pending successful completion of the physical fitness test. The male and female Agniveer (SSR) merit lists will be based on state-level merit. States may have different cutoff scores for issuing call up letters for the recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka.

Candidates may apply ONLINE ONLY for this position between July 15 and July 22 at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. About the Indian Navy's official website, www.joinindiannavy.gov.in, is information on the procedure. Candidates are urged to provide accurate information when completing the online application. Before the deadline for application submission, the candidate must make any revisions or corrections. Once the application submission deadline has passed, no additional corrections or updates are possible. Candidates' applications will be withdrawn if they provide false information and it is discovered at any point.

Application fee

For a fixed charge of Rs 60 + GST, the application may be uploaded from any Common Service Center (CSC) in the nation. This feature is completely optional.
