FICA Emerging Artist Award 2022    

Regarding the Program

Young artists between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible for the FICA Emerging Artist Award 2022. It is an initiative of the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art, a non-profit organization in New Delhi. Variable prizes will be given to the chosen scholars.

Eligibility for FICA Emerging Artist Award 2022

A potential applicant must-

• Being a citizen of India
• The age range of 18 to 35 years

Note that residents of other countries and Indian citizens living abroad are not eligible.

Benefits of FICA Emerging Artist Award 2022

The award provides financial support, a mentorship program, and an exhibition component to the 10 visual artists.

Documents required for FICA Emerging Artist Award 2022

• An up-to-date resume
• A brief description of the submitted works along with an artist's statement outlining practices and interests is required
• Images of up to 20 pieces, each one labeled with the name of the artist, the title of the piece, the year, the dimensions, and the medium. If the works are part of a series, please provide more than one picture (each series will be considered a separate work).

• Please only use file types compatible with VLC/Quicktime Player, such as MPEG, MP4, AVI, and WAV.
• The applicant may include links to videos within the PDF document itself or send the files individually to us by direct email, Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer, or any other similar file-sharing site via email at [email protected].
• The candidate will be asked to provide another link in writing if the link on a file-sharing network expires.
• Please include the method of transfer in the email and PDF if the applicant is delivering video files.

Note: A single PDF file containing all the papers must be supplied.
