The syllabus will help you to know which topic you have to focus on. Hence below is the SBI PO Reasoning syllabus with a number of expected questions from each topic:

Syllogism

  • In Mains questions based on Reverse Syllogism or new patterns can be asked.
Inequality
  • There are 5 questions asked on this topic in Prelims
  • This is a less likely asked topic in the main
Coding-Decoding
  • Around 3 to 4 questions from a sentence or word coding are asked in the Prelims exam.
  • In main, new pattern-based coding questions are asked
Input-Output
  • In the Main exam around 5 questions are asked about this topic in Mains
  • This topic is generally not asked in Prelims
Data Sufficiency
  • Around 5 to 7 questions are asked in Mains from this topic
  • Data Sufficiency is also asked in prelims

1. Puzzle and Seating Arrangement:

  • Always be clear with neither nor either-or on while practising.

4. Coding-Decoding:
  • Questions can be asked from both old as well as new patterns.
  • You have to learn all the basic rules of the topic before attempting the questions.

  • This topic generally comes under the easy category. Hence, it will be easier to get good marks on this topic.

5. Data Sufficiency:
  • This section can help you to score well in the reasoning section.

6. Logical reasoning:
