Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has released the notification for 4476 vacancies. The candidates who wish to teach the higher secondary classes must make an application for the same before the 25 th of December. The candidates aspiring for the examination must be aware of the HPSC PGT Syllabus and exam pattern. The syllabus and exam pattern will ensure that the candidates prepare well for the examination. The candidates must note that the PGT Syllabus comprises of  General Awareness, Reasoning, Maths, Science, English, Hindi and other subjects.

The syllabus for the written exam is mentioned below which is per the syllabus mentioned in the official website. The candidates must go through it carefully to prepare an exam strategy.  Knowing the syllabus and exam pattern will help you understand the demand of the exam and help you prepare accordignly. 

The HPSC PGT written exam holds 90% weightage in the selection process. The expected pattern for the HPSC PGT exam is:

  • 75% weightage is given to General Awareness, Reasoning , Maths, Science, English, Hindi and other subjects.
  • 25% weightage is allotted to Current affairs, Literature, Civics, History, Geography.

Haryana PGT Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates must go through a written test to qualify for the post of Haryana PGT in the Commission. The expected exam pattern for the written test is detailed below:

  • All the questions will be multiple choice-based.
  • One will have to select the correct option from the given four.
  • One will be awarded 2 marks for every correct answer
  • This is no negative marking scheme.
