UPSC CAPF Eligibility 2021

Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criterias.

UPSC CAPF Eligibility: Nationality

Candidates who are Indian citizens are eligible to apply for this exam. Candidates from Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible to apply but they should have a letter of consent from the central government.

UPSC CAPF Eligibility: Age Limit

Candidates should be between 20 to 25 years of age in order to be eligible to apply for UPSC CAPF AC exam. There is age relaxation provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories. The details of age relaxation are as follows:

Category of candidate

UPSC CAPF Eligibility: Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a college or uiversity recognised by the Central Government.
  • Candidates in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply however their selection will be considered provisional until they provide the final result.
  • Candidates with professional and technical qualifications approved by the central government are also eligible.

There are certain physical standards that must be fulfilled by the candidates to be considered for the post. They are as follows:

UPSC CAPF Eligibility: Medical Standards

Candidates also have to go through a medical examination during the selection proceudre. Candidates have to necessarily qualify this stage in order to be considered for the post. The details are as follows:

If the candidate has gone through LASIK surgery correction then it must have been according to the following criteria:
  • Age – 18 to 35 years
  • Axial-length – 21 to 26 mm.
  • Corneal-thickness 425 micron
  • Pre-LASIK error - 6 D
  • Post-operative - Should be a stable period refractive flap
  • Interval - 06 months (post-operative period mandatory
