The SBI PO Examination for the year 2022 is going to be held in the month of December. Candidates who wish to appear for the SBI PO Exam now or in the future must be aware of the SBI PO Selection Process.

SBI PO Selection Process


The SBI PO Recruitment consists of three stages. The three stages are preliminary examination, main examination, and psychometric test (Group Discussion/Interview). Candidates will be selected by the authorities as per their performances in these stages.  The candidates must be aware of the details of these stages, details are as follows:

SBI PO Application Process 

The online registration for SBI PO will begin on 22 nd of September and 12 th of October is the end date. All the candidates who have been waiting for SBI Probationary Officer vacancies must fill out their online application form for SBI PO 2022 Exam by clicking on the link given below as the link is active officially.

Application Fees/ Intimation Charges as mentioned in the notification shall be done through online mode only within the dates notified, shall be as follows

SBI PO Admit Card 

The admit card for the SBI PO Examination will be released 15 days before the exam. The admit card will have details related to the exam centre, time and slot of the examination. Candidates can access the admit card from the official website by logging in with a registration number or roll number & date of birth, and password.
 

SBI PO Exam and Exam Pattern 

The candidates must appear for the prelims, mains and interview round.  The prelims round is for qualification the main exam is the main based on which the candidates are finally selected. The following are the details of each stage of the exam.

SBI PO Exam Pattern

There are three stages in SBI PO Exam: Prelims, Mains and Interview. The detailed pattern of each of these stages is as given below.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern

Note: There is no sectional cut-off in SBI PO Prelims Exam. There is an overall cut-off only.
There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the SBI PO Exam.

Note: There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks in the SBI PO Mains Exam.

There is also a descriptive paper in SBI PO Mains Exam which is compulsory for all candidates to attempt.

Final selection

The final selection of candidates is completed based on Phase 2 (Mains exam) and Phase iii (Interview or Group Exercises). The marks obtained within the preliminary examination aren’t added for preparing the final merit list for selection.  Marks secured by the candidates within the Main Examination (out of 250 marks) are converted to 75 marks and Interview or Group Exercises (out of fifty marks) are converted to out of 25 marks. the final merit list is released after aggregating the converted marks out of 100. Selection is going to be done by the top-ranked candidates in each category.
