Information on the 5G spectrum auction:
- Sunil Bharti Mittal, the owner of Bharti Airtel, spent Rs 43,084 crore for a 19,867 MHz airwave that spans several bands.
- Vodafone Idea Ltd paid Rs 18,784 crore for the spectrum. Bids of 150,173 crore rupees were received, according to Vaishnaw.
- Of the 72,098 MHz of spectrum offered over 10 bands, 51,236 MHz, or 71 per cent, were bought.
- The government would be paid Rs 13,365 crore for the spectrum in the first year.
- The Union Minister stated that the 5G services might go live by October.
