Indian Army Day 2022: Be A Part of The Defence Forces

Today India is celebrating 73rd Indian Army Day. Every year India celebrates Indian Army Day on 15th January to mark the celebration in the memory of  Field Marshall M. Cariappa (then a Lieutenant General) taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army on 15th January 1949. This day we also remember and pay tribute to all those valiant soldiers who laid their lives in service of the nation. Today there are parades and other military shows organised in Delhi, wherein gallantry medals and seva medals are also awarded.

Indian Army Day is a day to remember all the brave souls who have served the nation in the most difficult circumstances and also laid their lives while serving the nation. This day fills us with immense sense of love and respect towards the Defence Forces who are always ready to serve the country and people and who never hesitate to make the supreme sacrifice for the country and people. Serving in the Defence Forces is matter of immense pride. It is indeed a world of opportunities where you learn and you become men and women of mettle. Serving in the Defence Forces is a proud profession which very few lucky people are able to achieve.
