Only Indian citizens can apply for RBI Security Guard Exam.

RBI Security Guard Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

The upper age limit for general category candidates is 25 years. There is age relaxation provided to candidates belonging to different catgories however, the upper age limit should not cross 45 years. The details of age relaxation are as follows:

Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years subject to maximum of 45 years.

Widows, Divorced women and women legally Separated from their husband who have not remarried 5 years
Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 5 years
Existing Employees of The New India Assurance Co. Ltd. 5 years
 

RBI Security Guard Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed class 10 from a recognised board or equivalent. Candidate should be a resident of the State/UT of the Recruitment zone to which he is applying. Ex-servicemen who have passed the Matriculation from outside the recruitment zone either before or after leaving the military service are eligible. Candidates who have completed graduation or other higher qualifications are not eligible to apply for the post.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for RBI Security Guard Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many  times as they want provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
