In the written test, there are two sets of papers. The first paper is broad to all of the subjects tested under the UGC NET umbrella, while the second is subject-specific, containing questions in the specified subject. Q1- Is there any age limit to apply for the UGC NET English exam?

Ans. There is an age limit for Junior fellowship applicants, 30 years for the general category and a 5-year relaxation for the reserved categories. There's no upper limit for Assistant Professor Openings.  

Q2- Is there any sub-section cut off for the UGC NET English exam?

Ans. No, there isn't. Only an overall cut-off list is announced.

Q3- Can you attempt the UGC NET English more than once?

Ans. Yes, a candidate can attempt the exam up to 5 times.

Q4- What is the pay scale after qualifying UGC NET English?

Ans.- The pay scale per month begins from 30000-32000 INR for the JRF qualifiers and 20000-30000 INR for Assistant professor qualifiers.
