Odd One Out

The use of a logical reasoning exam is one of the most common ways to assess an individual's ability to think clearly and critically.

Abstract sequences, logical matrices, number series, and other types of logical reasoning exams are available. Below, we'll look at one of the most common logical thinking exercises, in which you must pick the odd image out of a set of photographs.

logical_tests_odd_one_out_example_1

Which of the boxes is the odd one out?

How did it turn out? Have you discovered the box that isn't part of the test sequence? If not, don't be discouraged; some of the patterns in logical thinking exams might be difficult to identify if you're unfamiliar with them. Due to a variety of variables such as time constraints, unfamiliarity with the exam topic, or a lack of preparation, some questions are difficult to answer. Keep in mind that the more logical thinking exams you take, the better your skills will get. Although the circles and lines in the above boxes produce separate pictures, three of the four share some traits. Keep an eye on the amount of intersecting lines in each image.Box A contains three junctions, as do boxes B and D; however, box C has four intersections, indicating that box D is the odd one out. Isn't it rather straightforward?

Let's have a look at another example. Set your timer for 30 seconds and see if you can get the odd one out this time. After you've finished, have a look at the explanation below. You may now begin working.

Which one stands out as the odd one out?

Have you have any luck with the above? Do you believe you got the answer correct? It's worth noting that the form of the test objects is the differentiating feature. From the start, you can rule out that the proper pattern would be dependent on the number of forms in each box or the colour of certain things, as each box contains three shapes of varying colours. However, you'll see that three of the boxes have four-sided forms, while just one box does not.As a result, you may assume that box D is the odd one out. In your logical reasoning test, pay close attention to the details.

Are you ready to try your hand at the last question? Set a timer for 30 seconds and go over the explanation once you've marked the answer.

Which one stands out as the odd one out?

You properly answered this question if you marked B as the odd one out. B must be the odd box since three of the boxes have odd numbers of lines whereas box B has an even number of lines, indicating that B does not belong in the above sequence.
